Many veterans of the game have a love/hate relationship with the perks system introduced in Modern Warfare. And although some effort has been spent on tweaking certain game balancing issues – as in Modern Warfare 3 – there is no doubt there will be a great divide between those who use, and those who do not.
Either way you are probably here to find out exactly what the latest perks are and if they have in fact changed at all in the latest installment that is Modern Warfare 3.
So here is our list of the Modern Warfare 3 Perks.
Modern Warfare 3 Tier 1 Perks:
- Recon – explosive damage shows target on mini-map
- Recon Pro – bullet damage shows target on mini-map
- Sleight of Hand – fast reloading
- Sleight of Hand Pro – fast weapons change
- Scavenger – Get ammo from dead enemies
- Scavenger Pro – Get more ammo
- Extreme Conditioning – Increased sprint time
- Extreme Conditioning Pro – Climbing Speed increased
- Blind Eye – Undetectable air support and sentries
- Blind Eye Pro – Increased bullet damage to vehicles and fast lock-on for rockets
Modern Warfare 3 Tier 2 Perks:
- Blast Shield – Explosive Resistance increased
- Blast Shield Pro – Impervious to flashbangs and stuns
- Quickdraw – Quick aim
- Quickdraw Pro – Quick recovery from using grenade/equipment
- Hardline – 1 less kill to start the killstreak
- Hardline Pro – Two assists count as kill towards killstreaks. Deathstreaks require 1 fewer death
- Overkill – Carry 2 primary weapons
- Overkill Pro – 2nd weapon is allowed 2 attachments
- Assassin – disguised from heartbeat, thermal, portable radar and UAV
- Assassin Pro – disguised from EMP & CUAV, no red crosshair or label
Modern Warfare 3 Tier 3 Perks:
- Dead Silence – Quieter movement and reconnaisance does not work against you
- Dead Silence Pro – Fall damage none
- Marksman – Better targeting at long distance
- Marksman Pro – Longer breath hold in sniper
- Steady Aim – Shooting from hip accuracy increase
- Steady Aim Pro – Weapon ready is faster afer sprint
- Stalker – Quicker movement while aiming
- Stalker Pro – Enemy claymores delayed before exploding
- SitRep – Detect enemy explosive & tac insert
- SitRep Pro – Opponents footsteps are louder
As you can see from the list there are certain perks missing from previous installments due largely in part to ironing out some multiplayer balancing issues, while other perks have been tweaked such as the ‘extreme conditioning pro’ which no longer allows you to sprint non-stop.
